Amanda Sauer is an artist and educator with a background in environmental research. She is a recipient of  2019 and 2020 Artist Fellowships from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and her work is included in the DC ArtBank 2018 and 2019 collections. Amanda works primarily but not exclusively with analog materials. All black and white images are silver gelatin prints.

Amanda has a MFA in Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA in economics from Cornell University. She teaches photography at Northern Virginia Community College. Amanda lives in Washington D.C. with her husband and three children.
