Amanda Sauer is an artist and educator working in photography using primarily analog materials. She has a background in environmental research and advocacy. Amanda is a recipient of 2019, 2020, and 2021 Artist Fellowships from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and her work is included in the DC ArtBank 2018 and 2019 collections. Amanda has a MFA in Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA in economics from Cornell University.
Amanda teaches photography at Northern Virginia Community College. She lives in Washington D.C. with her husband and three children.
